<p>PURPOSE OF POSITION</p>
<p>The Corporate Training Coordinator is responsible for developing and delivering training materials and programs for Flanders Corporation. Coordinates in-house and outsourced training for all areas of Flanders Corporation including but not limited to: manufacturing, quality, safety, human resources, etc. Ensures that all employees in the company are trained consistently. Acts as the System Administrator for Flanders’ Learning Management system.</p>
<p>PRINCIPAL DUTIES</p>
<p>·        Identifies training needs in the organization with Human Resources and Management feedback; designs and delivers training programs based upon training needs.</p>
<p>·        Encourage and support Flanders’ staff in improving their technical skills, knowledge, and/or teaching skills.</p>
<p>·        Pursue activities and training related to teamwork, leadership, management, and program planning.</p>
<p>·        Identifies training needed based upon changes in Industry Standards and Employment Law.</p>
<p>·        Ensures required training is delivered in a timely manner.</p>
<p>·        Prepares and delivers training classes as required by specified training program. Coordinates outsourced training in areas where the Training Coordinator is not a Subject Matter Expert or Certified Trainer.</p>
<p>·        Tracks training and ensures all required employees are trained according to the training program.</p>
<p>·        Tracks metrics in relation to training and determines if programs are successful; makes changes to training programs as needed.</p>
<p>·        Performs a skills assessment on current employees and creates a career path based upon this information.</p>
<p>·        Works with the SVP of Human Resources to determine a training budget.</p>
<p>·        Reviews vendor proposals, monitors quality of training materials, manages training costs and assesses effectiveness.</p>
<p>·        Participate in relevant professional meetings, trainings, and/or conferences.</p>
<p>·        Performs other duties as assigned by management.</p>
<p>REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES</p>
<p>·        Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Industrial Technology, Organizational Development, Human Resources or other related field required.</p>
<p>·        5+ years of experience in workforce training and workforce training coordination required.</p>
<p>·        1+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment required.</p>
<p>·        ASTD CPLP Certification preferred.</p>
<p>·        Strong written and verbal communication skills required; must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of employees.</p>
<p>·        Must possess a strong knowledge of industrial technology and training and an up-to-date knowledge on best practices in the classroom.</p>
<p>·        Proven success in organizational development.</p>
<p>·        Excellent technical skills are required; strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required.</p>
<p>·        Must have experience working with and/or administering a Learning/Training Management system.</p>
<p>·        Must be willing to achieve related certifications as deemed necessary. </p>

<p>·        Bachelors Degree in Human Resources or related field required; four (4) years of relevant work experience demonstrating knowledge of specialized principles or techniques equivalent to those that would be normally obtained through a formal four-year college/university academic program or an in-depth specialized training program directly related to the type of work being performed will be accepted in lieu of a Bachelors Degree.</p>
<p>·        Three (3)+ years of Employee Benefits Administration experience required.</p>
<p>·        Must have an in-depth knowledge of health and welfare benefits plans.</p>
<p>·        Prior experience in administering Worksite Health &#038; Wellness programs preferred.</p>

<p>General Definition of Work:<br />
Chief Human Resources Officer reports directly to the City Manager and is responsible for the City’s Human Resources program development and implementation.  Performs complex professional and administrative work managing the City&#8217;s human resources program.  Work is performed under the general supervision of the City Manager.  Supervision is exercised over all department personnel. </p>
<p>Essential Functions/Typical Tasks:<br />
Planning, managing, supervising and implementing the human resources and safety programs, services and staff; coordinating and managing benefit programs; coordinating recruitment, testing, selection, hiring, and training programs.<br />

<p>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:<br />
Comprehensive knowledge of the philosophy, principles and practices of public personnel administration such as the accepted methods and practices of classification and pay, testing, selection, and affirmative action; thorough knowledge of governmental organization and administration; thorough knowledge of employee safety and training procedures and programs; ability to present ideas effectively, either orally or in written form; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates and the general public; ability to conduct detailed analytical evaluations and studies; ability to prepare related reports and recommendations.</p>
<p>Education and Experience:<br />

As you can see we collected quite a large amount of clothing that will benefit job seekers in our community.<br />
Thanks to STRIVE for all they do for our workforce and for allowing us the opportunity to partner with them on this project.</p>

<p>Reporting to the Associate Vice Chancellor for Human Resources, the Director of University Benefits collaborates with the HR management team, the university community, State Administrators, external vendors, and UNC System General Administration to develop useful, cost-effective benefit resources for attracting and retaining highly talented administrators, faculty, and staff. </p>
<p>The Director is responsible for developing state-of-the-art benefit options for the University and has responsibility for coordinating decisions for the effective design and delivery of effective benefit programs to meet University needs. The Director collaborates with both internal and external audiences to promote the goals of the office as well as the UNC system, identify emerging issues, develop effective web site content, review and edit online resources, and enhance the quality and consistency of information/communications with all campus constituencies. </p>
<p>The Director will balance competing interests and negotiate agreements; based on UNC Systems, State and Federal guidelines; that are supportive of employees and East Carolina University. </p>
<p>The ideal candidate will possess the highest degree of professional integrity and a strong service orientation. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to offer alternative solutions based upon State and Federal guidelines is essential. Experience in or knowledge of administering benefit programs including retirement plans, medical insurance plans, disability plans, family medical leave and shared leave is a must. Experience with various HR/payroll technology based systems as well as the ability to troubleshoot these systems is preferred. </p>
<p>Direct experience managing a large-scale Benefit function of comparable scope preferred.  </p>
<p>Minimum Qualifications:  Graduation from a four-year college or university preferably with coursework applicable to HR management, and/or business administration; and four years of directly-related program development and HR management experience demonstrating competencies needed to perform the work at a high achievement level (or an equivalent combination of training and experience).  </p>
<p>This position is subject to the Career Banding Salary Administration Plan. If candidates are not identified at the Advanced level, management may consider candidates at a lower competency level. Pay will be commensurate with applicant&#8217;s competencies as well as budget, equity, and market considerations.</p>

•	Identifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.<br />
•	Plans and conducts new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goals.<br />
•	Conducts wage surveys within labor market to determine competitive wage rate.<br />
•	Administers salary administration program to ensure compliance and equity within organization.<br />
•	Advises management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues.<br />
•	As a shared responsibility with other HR representatives, keeps records of benefits plans participation such as insurance and pension plan, personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations, and employee statistics for government reporting.<br />
•	Coordinates management training in interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance review, safety, and sexual harassment.<br />
•	Counsels management and employees regarding policies, procedures, and programs.<br />

•	Aids in the administration of benefits programs such as life, health, dental and disability insurances, pension plans, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, and employee assistance.<br />
•	Solicits assistance from outside agencies to aid in temporary staffing requirements; reviews and approves contracts related to such placements.<br />
•	May investigate accidents and prepare reports for insurance carrier.<br />
•	Prepares employee separation notices and related documentation, and conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations.<br />
•	Prepares global headcount reports and recommends procedures to reduce absenteeism and turnover.<br />
•	Investigates and develops formal responses to state inquiries regarding personnel issues; represents organization at personnel-related hearings and investigations.</p>
